Oakleigh is 5 months old!

Time really needs to slow down. Oakleigh Jo turns 5 months old today. She is a happy baby that sleeps through the night, rolls everywhere, can move herself forward by pulling on things, and is starting to get her knees under her. I am not in any hurry for her to crawl! It looks like her second tooth will pop through soon but for now 1 is enough! I started her on baby food but we haven't done it too much because she is really content with just milk at this point.
I was trying to take her 5 month pictures and then Jackson wanted to help so we were able to get a few of both of my babies!
She is on the go constantly! She isn't even close to being able to sit up on her own but she can roll with the best of them

I wasn't fast enough so she was trying to escape!

Doctor Appointments!

I got the kids appointments on the same day for Jackson's 2 year and Oakleigh's 4 months (really about 4.5 months)
Jackson is almost 26 pounds which he has gained 4 pounds since his 18 month appointment
This is a comparison of Jackson and Oakleigh both at 4 months. I thought for sure she was bigger than him at that age but she is still smaller. At least my little peanuts are happy and healthy!!
I couldn't get a picture of these two at the doctor so I got one right before bath time!

Danver Days

Another great weekend with these two. Oakleigh is smiling more everyday and she finally had a tooth! I love playing dress up with her and I love our time we have together when Jackson is napping or asleep for the night.
After baths I can always count on this girl failing asleep!
We headed out to Danvers Days with Tay, Lettie, Sean, and Annie. We walked up to the park and I was really excited for Jackson to ride rides. He was not... I finally got him to agree to ride these elephants and he was okay until the ride didn't start right away. By the end of the ride he was smiling but I am not going to make ride any more in the meantime! Jackson told me he wanted a hot dog but he really wanted a corn dog so I was the lucky one who ate the hot dog!!
These two love each other! Jackson was trying to get Oakleigh to look at me and was talking to her and giving her kisses. So sweet!

Jackson Turns 2

How is my baby 2? When we started talking about his birthday we told him he could have a Thomas the Train party so any time anyone asked him how old he was going to be he would respond, "Thomas."

I had fun planning his party and we decided just to have family over since there are so many of us! Matt has been working a lot and we kept talking about getting Jackson in a big boy bed so we decided we would try on the day of his party and we had definite success. He slept for 3 hours in his new big boy bed and Oakleigh is happy to have a bigger bed than her bassinet.
Bye bye crib...
 Snack Train!
Everyone had a great time and Jackson loved having his grandparents and cousins at our house to play...
Grammie Carol made Jackson's cake, it was so cute
Present time.... who could have guessed we got lots of trains!
Aunt Brooke took lots of pictures for mommy

Jackson got a sweet little book from Grammie Cyndee
 All the cousins
 Family picture
Cake time! He even blew out his own candle... Big Stuff :)

Jump-A-Roo

This peanut loves her Jump-A-Roo!
I wasn't sure if she was big enough so I just thought I would try. She has great head control and loved the little toys. She was chewing on the seat more than anything and we had to put a pillow under her feet but she really enjoys it!

Anderson Park and Oakleigh tries food!

Another great weekend with the kiddos. Matt has been gone working on the pipeline so we had a weekend full of mommy time. On Saturday we went to both Meijer and Sam's! It was a great trip with no meltdowns and no nursing pit stops along the way. I decided to get some baby food for Oakleigh and she loves it! I just am trying the Gerber oatmeal with fruit for now because that is really the only baby food Jackson even ate. Safe to say Oakleigh is a good eater!
We had a work picnic at Anderson so I braved the idea of taking two kids to the pool by myself. I made a few new friends at the pool that helped me with Jackson a little bit but he did great and baby O just let me hold her the whole time. After we left the picnic we stopped at Carl's for a Popsicle!
Jackson devoured his hot dog, it wasn't pretty but he did a good job! He loved the yellow submarine at Anderson so we will definitely be going back a lot more next summer...

Getting too Big!

Jackson is going to be two in a few weeks and he is just too big. He is talking very clearly and likes to tell us "no," well usually "no mama." He loves to play outside, downstairs with his trains, eat Popsicles, and do anything Daddy does. He is wearing size 6 shoes and mostly 24 months or 2T in clothes. We are still in size 3 diapers and he is getting more around to the idea of a potty so we will see when we can get this boy potty trained.

He loves to play with Oakleigh and to "hold her!"
