Looking Fancy

Willie got a haircut. Below are the before and after pictures! What can I say other than I love my dog....
 Fluffy.....
Less Fluffy....

Our New House

We closed on our new house in Heyworth the first week of May. We are so excited to move into our new ranch but first we had to make some changes. First is paint and new fixtures and second we are going to replace all the carpet. This house is great and I love the layout but we had to change the colors to fit our personalities (I wasn't into the red or the rag wall paint).
Above is the living room.

This is the kitchen and the hallway leading back to the bedrooms and bathrooms.
This was one of the kid's rooms. The previous owners had each room different and with different color walls. This room had a wallpaper border as well so Carol had her hands full with painting. I really got out of a lot of work since I am pregnant and no one will let me do anything!
There are nice big closets in all of the rooms so I know I won't have any problems filling them! In the master we have a walk in closet and I couldn't be more excited about this! I wish I would have taken more pictures of the other rooms but at least I took a few!
This is our future office. The walls were multi-color with decals everywhere. This is going to be great for Matt to finally have a place to be able to work and have everything he needs close by. I took these tonight after we ripped out all of the carpet. I actually helped but the belly was really getting in the way.
Here is the master bedroom. The paint color is sage and it is beautiful. There is so much natural light in this house and the new brighter and lighter colors seemed to really open up the house.
Here is the fireplace! I am so excited on how it turned out. I don't think we could have picked a better color. This color is also was is in the hallway and the master bath.
This is part of our walk in closet with my new light that Brooke gave me from her house. She thought we would be able to use it in our old house and I never put it up so we were putting ceiling fans in all the bedrooms and I wanted this in my closet. It looks great and will help picking out my clothes when it is still dark out!
New colors in the living room! I love it!

The first weekend that we closed on the house I planted my garden and a few pots with flowers while they were painting inside. I was able to check on my garden tonight and it is doing great and about 5 times larger than what I had last year! I have a feeling me and Brooke will have a lot of canning to do. When we went to the house tonight we brought over some boxes and I snuck this into the car. This is a KU rock that Keili and Chad Kruger got us for a wedding gift that has been in our living room since we live around college kids I never wanted it to get stolen, so this is the first time it has ever been outside!! Rock Chalk!

26 and 27 weeks

It seems like the weeks are going fast now and I am excited to almost be to the third trimester. Each one of the pictures we the end of my 26th week and end of my 27th week but I am trying to make sure we take a picture once a week.
We closed on our new house this week so let the the fun begin. We will be painting, replacing carpet, light fixtures and a few other things and then our goal is to move in the first weekend in June.
Willie loves to be a part of everything. The bigger I get the smaller he looks, ha ha ha! This picture is post dinner at Biaggi's with Matt. Great way to end the week with a delicious dinner!

I didn't know Matt took a picture but Willie wanted me to pick him up but it looks like he is trying to kiss the baby. I can't wait to see how he is when Baby J arrives.

Happy May Day

Look what I got at work from my mother-in-law.... a cute May Day basket!

Over the weekend Mom came with my to the March of Dimes, March for Babies. This is the third year I have participated and each year I do it in honor of baby sis. Mom asked me if she could do it with me this year and we got a beautiful day for a nice walk. I think of Charlotte often and miss her every day. This is just one more way we can keep her memory alive. I wish we would have taken a picture but I forgot.

After the walk Mom took me to lunch and to get our nails done. I got this polish for Easter and love it!

Cinco de Redbirds

We went to Cinco de Redbirds at ISU last week and they had a photo booth. This is a fundraiser for Women's Athletics and it was a great event. It would have been better with a margarita but I stuck with the water instead!

24 and 25 Weeks

The bump is growing! I feel like I finally look like I am pregnant and not just chubby. We think it is hilarious each week what size the baby is but he is growing.

25 Weeks
Willie was really posing for this one!
