New Years Eve!

We spent New Year's Eve hanging by the pool and decided to go to a local spot call Hog Heaven for an early dinner. This place was awesome and even had a little boardwalk with tons of fish and a little beach that we ran around after we ate. They had great fish and we all really enjoyed it.

This trip was hard to take a lot of pictures because Jackson wants my phone, so most of the time we have to keep it hidden so I didn't get a lot of pictures!

They had live music so Jackson was able to show off his moves to the ladies!

Outside of the restaurant! There was a plane through one side....

My daily nap spot! I wish I could be here everyday....

Where's Jackson!?

Who knew empty cabinets could be so fun! Jackson thought this was so much fun until he shut his hand in the door....

Peek-A-Boo..... little stinker!

Theater of the Sea! More Animals.....

I a lot of the time when I look at Jackson I see his daddy but there are a lot of things that I think he did get from me and one is his pouty bottom lip and the other is his love for animals. I know we will have this special bond and it makes me really happy because I still love to learn about animals and even better when we get to meet them in person!

I found a place pretty close to where we were staying called the Theater of the Sea which was an all outdoor aquarium and zoo. It was a really cool place and there was a guide that took you through the park and then they have different shows to go to. I think one of Jackson's favorite things was a giant sea turtle. He definitely would have touched it or crawled into the water with it if Matt wasn't holding on to him.

All of the animals were rescued from somewhere else so they all had really neat stories. We made it to the parrot show and the dolphin show before Jackson started to get hungry for lunch and sleepy! Got to love nap time!

They also had fish feeders everywhere so we just kept getting out quarters to give to Jackson. He even started to pick up food from the ground to feed to the fish. This was another adventure I carried the diaper bag and Matt took charge of little man.

Dolphin show! Jackson was showing us his dance moves during this one....

He kept waving to the animals and saying "Hi!"
Leading Daddy through the park. I love watching these two hold hands....

 My Boys!
When we left we went to Wahoo's for lunch. We actually went there for my 30th birthday and decided to head back since it was so good. Jackson loved this shark!
 Big Catch!
This was in a beautiful area with a great view!

Robbie's - Feed the Tarpon!

Before we left I tried to find a few fun things to do that were kid friendly while we were on vacation and this was one of them. It was called Robbie's and the website made it seem like you could spend the day there but where we got there it was really busy and didn't really have the beach we were looking for but what it did have was even better! Tarpon and pelicans!Jackson loves animals was was intrigued by the pelicans.

All he wanted to do was give one a hug! He tried.... a few times....

Daddy had to hold him back!

Before we fed the tarpon I had to take some pictures of the scenery. It is so beautiful in this area and if we vacationed here every year it would be okay with me!

The water is so clear and everything just seems to slow down here. I told Matt there has to be somewhere we can work down here and we could just move, right? He thinks it would be better to just vacation!

So back to the tarpon. These fish are giant and remind me of carp in the Ozarks but bigger and they eat fish and actually jump out of the water. At this place you pay for a bucket of fish and you can feed the tarpon. The boys did all of the feeding and I took the pictures. Jackson was even getting in there and feeding the dead fish to the tarpon. No fear.... I just kept telling Matt to hold on to him because I thought he was going to jump in!
Needless to say everyone had a ton of fun! After one bucket we went over to the restaurant and got drinks and watched the fun continue!
You literally held the fish over the water and if you got close enough the fish would jump out and take it from you.
Every time Jackson just giggled. I loved it!

This fish were even bigger than they look....
The pelicans stick around because they get just as many fish as the tarpon do. They were actually pretty cool to see up close like this. They are also much larger than I thought, but they also get fed pretty well.

Mrs. Mac's Kitchen- we went there for dinner this night and had some awesome diner food. We had a lot of people tell us to check this place out and it was worth it. Jackson ate almost a whole basket of fried shrimp, me and Matt had some great fish sandwiches, and finished off dinner with a big piece of key lime pie!! So good!

Just sucking on limes..... whatever makes him happy!
