Last Few Weeks...

The last few weeks have gone by so fast and I can definitely tell that being a working mom with two little kids can take a toll. I am really enjoying being back at work but now I have so much less time with my kiddos. I try to make time special for both kids so after daycare we are either outside in the pool, at the park, watering flowers, playing with bubbles and chalk, or the splash park and after Jackson goes to bed I get my time with my girl. It is a struggle some days to get everyone just fed and bathed by 8pm but we make it work!

Over last weekend I was looking through my baby pictures and I think me and baby O do look a lot like each other. I am on the right and I think I am about 8 months old so I will be excited to keep coming back to pictures and see the similarities. Oakleigh is the happiest little baby. If you lay her on her play mat she can spin herself in an entire circle and just keep going! She smiles all the time and has really become more vocal with noises the last few weeks. Jackson tells Oakleigh that she is "cute" and it is so sweet because he sounds like Rudolph saying, "I'm cute!"
Jackson came home sick from daycare last week. I knew he was really sick when he just wanted to lay on the couch all day, poor buddy!
Jackson loves his trains and he broke the engine we had to Matt decided to get him a new one. He loves his new Thomas!
It is almost as big as him!
Night out at the winery for Rhendy's birthday!
So big! She can sit in the bumbo for a long time in a row now. She is pretty happy as long as she can chew on her hands. She is also starting to get her front two lower teeth!
Jackson insists on wearing his boots everywhere. I have a feeling we are going to be at the lake for the 4th and he is going to want to wear his boots!

Happy Father's Day

I am sure Oakleigh and Jackson will love that we did this later in life, but we don't care. I love it that we continue to share experiences like this. We even got a babysitter to watch the kiddos to go get new tattoos!

 Now I just want more....

On Saturday we went down to Monticello to ride the train. Miss Oakleigh wasn't too happy on the trip so I didn't get any pictures of my boys but I did get to take a few selfies with her!

Mini Me

Oakleigh is starting to look like a little girl and not so much an infant. She does look an awful lot like me which I will take because she is pretty cute. I am in love with her little eyelashes, sweet eyes, dimples, and her smile. In the mornings I wake up between 4:45 and 5am to feed her then lay her back down. She now likes it when I bring her into my room and lay her on our bed. She lays in the boppy pillow while I get ready. She doesn't want to miss anything!
 All smiles for Mommy!
Milk coma at it's best.... these are the moments I never want to forget!
This is a sleeper of Jackson's so when I look at her I see both of our babies! She was really smiling tonight so I snapped a few pictures. I tried to get Jackson in there but he is too fast...
 My little peanut!
Splash park fun! Jackson was playing with Grammie Carol and me and Oakleigh chilled in the shade and her fan.

Wedding Fun!

My good friend Aaron got married over the weekend so we had a night out. Mom came over to watch the babies. We had a great time with Sean and Annie!

Love when we get to take pictures with each other! It only took about 15 tries but we got a good one!

First day back to work and Daycare

It was going to happen sooner or later but today was my first day back to work and Oakleigh's first day at daycare. When we dropped the kids off Jackson was confused why Oakleigh was staying but got over it pretty quickly and just wanted to eat breakfast.  The day went by quick with a lunch to Destihl and trying to remember how to do my job. Then it was home to get the kiddos.
This was when I dropped her off. To me this says, "mom, I am fine, you can go now!" She had a great first day!
She fell asleep at 9:00 pm last night and slept until about 5:45 am today. I soon followed her after she fell asleep.

Oakleigh Jo is 2 months old

Oakleigh had her 2 month appointment on the 31st. She is again pretty average for height and weight but I will take that. She is smiling more and more and had great head control. She is not as content in her swing so we are putting her on the floor more which she likes so she can watch the fan. She is still sleeping through the night in her room and really has been a happy and easy baby!

Height- 22 inches- 33%
Weight- 11.3 pounds- 53%
Head- 15 inches- 52%

Jackson wanted a snack today while I was nursing. So he went and got it himself, crawled up on the toy box and got some mini wheats himself. He only made a little bit of a mess but he got what he wanted when I couldn't so we will call this one a win.
