Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!

Christmas was amazing this year. It was so much to see how exciting the idea of Santa Claus is to a 2 year old. When we got home on Christmas Eve we went outside and spread out the reindeer food and came inside to get ready for Santa. We picked out some cookies and milk for Santa and then I explained to Jackson that Frank (definitely out of magic) was going to head back to the North Pole when Santa came.
When Jackson got up Christmas morning he was more interested in the note that Santa left than anything under the tree. He did get what he asked for which was a new controller for his train and a big engine. Oakleigh was right along with him the whole time. These two had a great time!

We spent Christmas Eve with Matt's parents and the kids had a blast. Jackson got more trains and Oak played with wrapping paper.

Jackson really has the unwrapping of gifts down. He has so much fun over the last few days!

These little girls loved these ornaments. They really just sat back and watched as all the presents were unwrapped. I think they found every piece of plastic and wrapping paper on the floor but they really enjoyed themselves. We had a great day at my parents. It is crazy that we now have 5 kids crawling and running around.
Christmas night we went over to the Anet's for the annual post-Christmas party. These two little ones are only a few months apart but so stinking cute. Kroy is bigger than Oakleigh but Oakleigh just kept trying to grab him. We kept saying they were on their first date. Wish we could see them more!

Holiday Season

I can't believe Thanksgiving is over and Christmas is here. We got our tree the weekend of Thanksgiving and got the tree up and decorated. The whole month of December we watch Polar Express (about 300 times), played with countless trains, got to see lots of friends and family, baked, and had a blast with Frank our Elf!
The first snow we got was awesome. The snow was packing and it wasn't too cold so we got to play outside for a few hours! It was my idea to get the gator out (bad idea because it really didn't make it too far).
My mom got Oakleigh this outfit so she was all snuggly and warn while we played!
We put our boogie board to good use because we didn't have a sled. Who cares, it worked out great!

Oakleigh even got to ride! She took a few spills but didn't even care. She was a happy girl!

The boys tried to make a snowman. It ended quickly!
Frank came to us on Thanksgiving and Jackson loved him. Some days he did some fun things and other days he would just hang out on the mantle or sit and watch us. He left with Santa on Christmas Eve but Jackson is still talking about him! Everyday he got home he would say, "Where Frank at?"
My cookie making buddy! Non-dairy cookies of course.....
 Frank!
 Oakleigh loves Frank too!
On the train was Jackson's favorite!
He brought the kids ornaments one day. Jackson got a piggy since that is what he says he was for halloween and Oakleigh got a "Baby's First Christmas" ornament.

It's the Polar Express....

This is a phrase Jackson has been saying since we first watched the Polar Express. He uses his arms and is really dramatic about it. It is pretty cute! We got invited to come down to ride the Polar Express and Jackson loved it. I didn't buy tickets because I was afraid he wouldn't be old enough, be scared of Santa, or all of the above. He was very quiet for most of the trip but just watched everyone. It was truly magical to see this through my own son's eyes. We will be going back next year!
These two and their love of trains....
His Ticket! He thought when the conductor punched it, it was the coolest thing in the world!
Daddy and Jackson. I need to get a side by side from last year to this year!

8 months

Oakleigh is 8 months old. I feel like this year is flying by. These pictures were taken a few days later and we went to the Christmas parade in Minier with Brooke and her boys and the kids loved it. A no nap day but who cares!
Somehow little miss got a sucker and was sucking on it, she loved it!

She is too busy to really get any pictures anymore but I got a few. She is definitely little and petite but she is mighty. She can pull herself up on anything and is starting to move side to side. She can get up on things to like steps or even our little trampoline in the basement. I just hope she doesn't start walking soon! This little butt just kills me.
She is a happy girl. As long as she feels good she has a smile on her face and 7 teeth in her mouth now. She is eating all kinds of food and loves chicken of all types and fruit.
