Boy Scout Clay Shooting Fundraiser

Last week I got to participate in a clay shooting fundraiser for the boy scouts. My team was down a few people so they asked me to come. I have never shot a shot gun but I think I did pretty good for having no idea what I was doing and it is completely different than shooting a hand gun.

Amanda showing off her skills!
Maybe we found some awards..... we thought it would make a good photo op!
Matt, my teacher, showing off his award!
 Just throwing some tomahawks!
The after math....

My shoulder started hurting so I just kept moving my gun and this is what happened. It looks way worse than it actually was. I just hope I get invited back next year!

My Little Outside Boy

Jackson loves the outside and that makes this Momma very happy. Every day when we get home I put away our bags and we all load up for a walk/run/trip to the park. I really think Jackson uses this as a wind down time before dinner (that is what I like to think) because he just chills in the stroller. We always have to have our drinks and snacks for the trip!

Jackson is almost 10 months old and he is really getting a personality of his own. He loves to crawl and explore. He loves to shut doors and try to open things that are closed. He chases the dog everywhere and always wants to know what he is doing. He still loves his momma and gives the best hugs but when daddy comes home that is when the real fun starts. He loves all of his trucks and making noise with his little mouth. We have our hands full but I wouldn't trade it for anything!

I found this hat at Target and was instantly in love. I have been looking for a trucker hat and it is the first one I have found.

Selfies for Daddy when he was gone!
 I love my toys!
 See walks tucker me out!
Jackson watching motorcross! He loves when sports are on the TV.
Our little pool. Best money spent ever!
There is about 2 inches of water in here and this baby loves it. This was last Saturday and we hung out in here for over an hour. My little water baby!
My garden! It is growing great. We have already picked a few peppers and tomatoes are coming in!

Memorial Day

We went for a trip down to the lake for Memorial Day and it wasn't what we expected it to be. We had about 10 minutes of sun all weekend. I didn't take very many pictures so the next will have to be on overload. We went with the Taylor's and had a good time it was just windy, rainy, and not the best. We didn't even get to go on the boat but we went to Captain Ron's for lunch on Saturday so that is always fun!
 Taylor and Jackson
 Little bitty life jacket!
Jackson has so much fun playing with everything... I can't wait to get him on the boat.
All tuckered out on the way home....
This is Jackson's Merica' tank. I thought it was very appropriate for Memorial day so we rocked a mohawk too...

Jackson's First Normal Cornbelter's Game

On May 19th we went to the home opener for the Cornbelters. It was freezing but Matt was home and we were ready to get out of the house and do something. We went to the game and Jackson did amazing. I guess I should mention that he is completely uninterested with anything on TV unless it is sports... or baby Einstein. He did so great! We got there are the start of the game and made it to the bottom of the 6th. Jackson would watch the game, then eat a few snacks, do some flirting, and then back to watching the game. I hope we can go to a few more before the season is over!
I think this is one of the best family pictures we have and of course this lady in the pink has to ruin it. Oh well...

Swimming Fun!

Is it finally summer? My garden is starting to grow and it is nice and hot outside for us to swim in the pool. Jackson loves to take baths so we had a feeling he would love to be in the pool.
He loves his bath toys. He would take the little purple and blue boat everywhere if I would let him.
 Such a happy baby!
The best thing about this Sam's Special is that it is big enough for me to sit in too!
I love my Saturday's with my little man.
