Memorial Day Weekend

We had a great trip for Memorial Day to the Ozarks. We loaded up everyone and headed to the lake on Wednesday night and came back Monday morning. The kids did great on the drive to and from and had fun the whole time we were there. Oakleigh is just along for the ride but she did have a few great naps and was really content everywhere we went.

This was at Red Head's on the first day. Oakleigh's life jacked was pretty big but she fell asleep any time we put her in it so I don't think she minded it at all. She is definitely going to be a lake baby!
Relaxing under an umbrella.... When she lays like this I know she is asleep.
My Mom came down Thursday afternoon so this day we were on our own. Matt played with Jackson and I took care of baby O. No one was there so it was awesome! This is just the perfect place for little kids.

Jackson loved the boat and standing looking out into the water. He is still to little for a bigger life jacket but it is safe to say he loved this one! We call it his "boat coat." I think it is going to stick.
When we weren't on the water we did a lot of relaxing and playing! Willie made the trip too...
Sleeping at Niangua Falls. We will be back once they get the pool.
Mom gave Oakleigh lots of snuggles.
Second day at Redhead's, it was a lot hotter so we mad her a tent with a fan!

I can't wait to go back....

Batman gave Oakleigh lots of kisses!
Jackson was keeping his eye on baby Lettie!

Future of M.A. Jones Trucking

Well half of it... Jackson's shirt is still too big for him!

Outside fun!

I have decided we are never going to be inside this summer. We are all set with the water table, popsicles, buckets, bubbles, and more! We have a fan and shade for Oakleigh so hopefully I will get a great tan!
I hope she stays this content and happy!

Jackson loves his water table. We get home from daycare and he says "water" and wants me to get it out! I usually do....

Markers...

Jackson is now 21 months and he is really growing into his personality. He is a great little helper when it comes to the baby. He likes to get diapers for me and throw them away, whatever makes him happy.  Now that we have two babies I have found a lot of activities for Jackson to stay busy while I am nursing or trying to clean up.

He is very creative and loves to draw with MARKERS! He also is a big fan of paint and playdoh but markers are a little less messy.... well I thought. Jackson was coloring and I was sitting next to him and I kept telling him not to put them in his mouth or to draw on himself. Before I could grab it out of his hand a black marker went into his mouth and here is the result.

This is when he knew he was in trouble.....
Then extremely proud of himself....
Then "Cheese, Momma!"
I was dying on the inside, but trying to keep a straight face. I have a feeling I was just like him when I was little!

Oakleigh is 6 weeks old

Our little girl is 6 weeks old. She is sleeping about 8 hours at night in her bassinet and being a lot more awake during the day. She loves to nurse and cuddle with mommy during the day. When she is awake we have been doing a lot of tummy time, playing on her activity mat, and of course playing with Jackson. I try to catch pictures of the two of them but he is too fast! He will say cheese for me then want my phone so I only try to sneak pictures around Jackson.

Oakleigh has beautiful long eyelashes and skinny fingers and toes. She is wearing and filling out all of her 3 months clothes. She seems to be about the same size as Jackson and when we go for the 2 month checkup I am excited to compare the two. We just have two extremely average kids, well for size that is!
Oakleigh is starting to smile and coo. Jackson's favorite thing to do is to tickle her. It just melts my heart!
We are really good at sleeping. I love to put her in sleepers that were Jackson's because then I can just stare and her and enjoy her and think of when Jackson was her size.
 Those eyelashes!

Happy Mother's Day!

Mother's Day 2016 was perfect! Not only did I get to spend the weekend with my hubby and babies, but Matt took me flower shopping and planted my garden. Gardening is one of my favorite things to do and Matt made sure we got in all in and going this weekend. We all went to Neipagans and came home and got everything done before bedtime. We took shifts to keep the little ones happy but we got it done!

On Sunday we spent the morning with Matt's mom and then in the evening we headed to my Mom's. We had a great day! I still can't believe I am a momma of 2 and I wouldn't change it for anything!

Oakleigh is 5 weeks old!

Matt's grandma made this little pinafore for Oakleigh and it was a rainy day we were were playing dress up and I wanted to put this on her. Of course, we had to add a bow to finish the outfit but I thought it was so sweet. I think we have a few weeks that she will still be able to wear it!
Mommy and Me bows! Aunt Taylor made these bows for Miss Oakleigh and myself. I love them and will probably just have to have her make us more. Little girls are too much fun!
Oakleigh is a month old! Well about 5 weeks.... My girlfriend Kelly gave me these stickers and we missed the 1 month mark so we just did it late. Jackson wanted the sticker so as soon as the photo shoot was done I gave it to him!
We headed to the park park late morning because rain was on the forecast. I put Jackson in this little jumpsuit with this KU hat and couldn't get over how cute it was.... Jackson loves the park! I wear Oakleigh in the baby ergo and she sleeps while me and Jackson get to play. He is such a little trooper!
 Cheese!
When did he get so big?
