6 Weeks Old

How has it been 6 weeks since I had Jackson? I have no idea but I can't imagine my days without him. Here is what we did this week:
Willie always finds where Jackson is.... I think it is so cute and Jackson will rub Willie's fur with his foot. I think Willie will be sad when Jackson goes to day care.

I had to get two cavities (that turned into four) this week. Aunt Taylor was nice enough to keep him for me while I was at the dentist. She sent me a few pictures where he was passed out just to let me know he was okay. I love this sleeper/outfit!
Another Kansas cute outfit. I love these t-shirts that snap with pseudo shorts. So adorable, I just wish he could fit into outfits longer.
At the beginning of this week I realized that I only have three more weeks of maternity leave so I am trying to enjoy every minute. We have a front porch that gets a lot of shade and a nice breeze so I try to sit outside with Jackson and read while he is sleeping. It works out great for both of us.
This is a Peterbilt truck and trailer that Matt found on his trip out to Maryland. He is so excited for Jackson to be big enough to play with all his toys. I know we will have a lot trucks in the future!
Jackson loves this little bear blanket. He loves to snuggle with it and would rather have this than a pacifier. I used to just give this to him when he was in his carseat and now it pretty much goes with us everywhere even around the house.
On Wednesday we went out to the Country Mist Apple Orchard and got some apples, pumpkins, and a mum. This place is in Heyworth so I wanted to check it out and it is super cute! We will definitely be going back in the future. It is only open for a few weeks but something fun to go and check out.
I have been putting Jackson in his crib for a least one nap a day. He is getting better and even if he doesn't sleep the whole time he doesn't mind being in the crib.
How can you not take a picture of this. I will get done nursing him and just move him to a different spot on the couch and it usually makes him really happy!
On Saturday I went with Mom to go get her dress for Taylor's wedding and we stopped at Old Chicago for lunch. Mom gave him a bottle so I wanted to capture this. So adorable!

As Brooke would say, "Look at those lippies."

5 Weeks Old

Here a are a few pictures from last week. I take pictures of him constantly because he looks different everyday. I know the end is near with my maternity leave so I am soaking up all the baby snuggles I can get. He can`t fit in any newborn clothes anymore and most 0-3 month is small. He is still skinny just really long. I started putting him in different clothes this week and couldn't believe things that fit him that I thought would be huge. I am ready for fall weather so he can wear all these cute hoodies we have for him.
Willie and Jackson laying by each other on the couch. Willie always looks at us for approval but as long as he doesn't wake Jackson up I don't care what he does. I want them to be best friends!
These lips! He is always sticking them out when he sleeps. I just can't get enough of them!
When I hold him on the couch he always burrows into my chest and covers his face.
He hates his car seat but always starts looking pretty cute. He just keeps getting bigger and bigger and I can mainly tell by comparing pictures when he is in his car seat.

Jackson was being fussy and Willie was licking his head to try to calm him down.

Kansas City Trip

We headed last weekend to Kansas City for my friend Ashley`s bridal shower. I am one of her bridesmaids and I can't go to the bachelorette party because of little man so we went on our first road trip! The way out we only stopped once (took 6 hours) and the way home we stopped three times (took about 7.5 hours). All and all it was great. We stayed with the Kruger`s and got to see their new house (all I can say is amazing) and Saturday we went to the shower. It was so wonderful to get to see a few of my favorite people. Jackson did great all weekend and he slept through the night each day we were there, this didn`t last when we got home...
Cole in Jackson's carseat. He told me he was only a little bit too big!
The future bride with Jackson in his Kansas polo and plaid shorts. We tried to pop the collar and he didn't seem to mind. I don't see Jackson as a frat boy but this is his first fratty outfit. Thanks Aunt Ashley!
This is not the best picture but the only one I took with Ashley. I had a really cute dress on that Jackson spit up on so I changed before I left and then took a picture with her. I wanted to be able to look back on this picture to show Jackson.
This was before we left to go to KC. He was as happy as can be!
Cole was playing with Jackson and he did this all weekend. He just wanted a buddy to play with!
More Cars!
Jackson rocking an Illinois for Chad!

4 Weeks Old

He was a little crazy man when I took this but I thought it was funny...
These two are already buddies and Willie loves to lay by him! We can't wait for Jackson to be able to play with him...

Just Can't Get Enough...

I can't help myself but to take pictures of Jackson. Here are pictures from this week:
I went a little overboard this morning. I put the onesie on then found the hat and finally laid him on the blanket. I have to do it while I can!
Sound asleep. I thought this was so cute. He lays like this all the time!
So sweet!

Little monkey slippers my neighbors brought over for him along with a hooded towel and a sleeper that are all monkeys, So cute!
He was cheesing when I took this picture so I sent it to a few girls I work with and it is hanging up in my cubicle waiting for my return. At least I will have something cute to look at when I go back to work.
He loves his activity mat. He has even started to take naps on his mat, It is right under a fan which he loves to stare at.

So Big!

We had some firsts this week. This hat is a stocking hat that Aunt Taylor made and when he was born it was huge and now it fits. He wore it last night when we went to dinner. He is so handsome!
He is wearing size 1 diapers. They look huge but he was having too many blow outs in the new born diapers.
He slept in his crib for about an hour yesterday. Is was putting more clothes in his drawers and decided to try it out. He did really good! I just am too nervous to put him in their at night, especially since Matt is gone a lot I don't want to not wake up if he cries!!

Going on a Walk

I decided this week that we could start taking walks. Little did I know it would pour down rain for 2 days, but all I know it was good for all three of us to get out of the house. Each day we went this week we were gone for about an hour. My strollers is awesome and I really hope that I can start running or jogging soon. I know we will definitely use it for truck pulls and other outside activities!

I put way too many clothes on him, but he didn't seem to mind!
Willie was happy to be out and getting some much needed attention from me!
He had pants and socks on, both a first...

Tummy Time

This morning Jackson was wide awake so I decided to try out the tummy time mat. This was the first time I had put him on this mat and he loved it. He was on his belly looking at a mirror and following a rattle I was holding for almost 15 minutes. He was a trooper and I am excited to continue to play with him on the mat!

Meeting the Great Grandma's

Jackson got to meet Great Grandma Loretta and Great Grandma Rachel. Jackson was an angel for both of them!!

3 Weeks Old

Jackson is such a happy baby. Here are a few pictures over the last week. He has got to meet a lot of our friends ad family. We were on the move all weekend and Monday so it has been nice to relax at home today! I love baby snuggles...
