CAT Visitor Center

We have been trying to think of fun things to do with Jackson before the baby comes so we headed to Peoria to go to the CAT Visitor Center, Bass Pro, and headed to dinner with the Windish family. Jackson loved the CAT center! We all had fun playing on the different machines and learning about the equipment. At least we had Matt with us to show us the ropes.
35 Weeks down! So funny now that I have to carry Jackson so high to keep him over this growing baby bump...
Trading hats! Jackson loves anything that Matt has.
 My Boys!
 Showing up the ropes....
They have interactive games to drive machines. Let's just say Jackson probably did a better job than I did. There is no future in this for me. Just my boys....
I love these. I can't wait to look back on them and see how little he really was. Always looking up to Daddy!!
Watching these two together just really doesn't get any better....

Jackson's First ISU Basketball Game!

We had wanted to take Jackson to an ISU game all season but it was hard to find a game that wasn't too late or when Matt was going to be home. It was one of their last home games but we made it and it was Valentines Day verse Bradley. Jackson did awesome and we made it almost through the whole game. He had so much fun watching both the game and everything else going on in the stadium.

I think it is safe to say we have another basketball fan in the family!

Birthday weekend!

I had a great 31st birthday this weekend! My boys took me to dinner at Famous Daves after Matt told me to take some time to myself and get my toes done. Which I did and really enjoyed it!
The girls at work spoiled me with a case of Busch NA and my cubicle was decorated with a lot of Mexican flare!
Saturday night I went to my parents and the Grieder boys were there and Jackson and Sawyer were having a blast in Mom and Dad's room.
Jackson got to go on his first semi ride. He was a little rockstar. This is him sitting shotgun while we waited to get the truck washed. He loves anything he gets to do with his daddy!
We did a little painting to make cards for Matt for Valentines day. Jackson made a complete mess but had so much fun doing it! My skinny little boy.....

2016 MidWest Truck Show!

Matt participated in the Midwest Truck Show again this year so we all went over on Friday afternoon to check it out. I left work early and used the show to do sales calls and we took Jackson to check it out. He was in love with everything. I didn't get a picture of Matt's truck or Matt with Jackson but here are a few of Jackson enjoying himself!

He is holding a trophy from the show the year before but using it as a drill on everything. It was really funny!
Playing in Daddy's truck!
I think it is safe to say that Jackson was having the time of his life. Look at this smile!

Day at the Zoo!

Jackson's babysitter let us know on Sunday that she was going to take Monday off because she was sick, so I decided to take the day and spend it with my little man. We were going to go to the Discovery museum but it was closed so we headed to the Miller Park Zoo. The weather was pretty nice so we went and it was great.

We were in Uptown Normal running a few errands and Jackson wanted to walk. I had to take this picture beacuse I love it when he holds my hand!
I hadn't been to Miller Park Zoo in years and a lot of it still looks similiar but it was a perfect day to go because no one was there and they were feeding the otters and the sea lions so Jackson was in heaven. There were a lot of little monkeys too which he thought was pretty cool.
He would stand up to the glass and point at something and then look at me. He could have stayed there for hours, well I think we were there for almost 2.5.
We went through each exhibit a few times and Jackson thought it was fun to just run around. Inside there were birds just walking and flying around so of course we had to chase a few.

Jackson and Mommy Selfie.... they never get old!
The coolest thing they have is the wallaby exhibit. They have wallabies, walaroos, and a kangaroo just jumping around. We got there close to when they opened and we might have been the first people through. We walked through the door and they were so close. Jackson was trying to give one a hug and got really close. I totally would have let him, I mean if they are not in cages they probably won't hurt anyone, right? Anyway he loved it and so did I.

We left the zoo and went to meet Matt for lunch at Moe's. Then went home and someone took a really long nice nap! These days are the best!
