Honeymoon

We left on our honeymoon on March 5th and headed off to Riviera Maya, Mexico. We were able to spend an entire week of fun and relaxation. Matt planned the whole trip so all I had to do was get my name changed on my passport, which I did the Monday after our wedding so we were ready to go. Our honeymoon was delayed because I started school the Monday after we got married so between on of my last semesters at ISU and working I was in for a much needed break. We had a fantastic week full of drinking, eating, shows, water activities, and us time. We even met a couple there that was getting married and they invited us to their wedding. So I wanted to share some pictures. These are just from my camera so I will have more to come...
Lemon drop martinis at the ocean tiki bar. We went every night where we made friends with the bartender Jose who looked like Christopher Walken. It was pretty funny. Matt has a new love for chocolate martinis.
Waiting in the rain.... It rained a little bit two days that we were there but it wasn't too bad either day. At this point and time we had walked to the family side of the resort we got stuck with a bunch of little kids, ha ha ha.
On Tuesday we visited Playa Del Carmen which was about twenty minutes away from our resort but there was another Palace Resort that we visited. We took a bus and were able to eat, drink, and swim at this resort for the day. We went to be able to have a little more beach to enjoy. It was fantastic and I had a blast! I even got third place in a movie trivia game!! We left the resort for about an hour to do a little shopping and eat lunch. It was amazing what you could buy and how cheap everything was. We went to a little cantina and had lunch and drank some cold beers. If we ever get the chance to go back I would like to visit Cozumel which we could see from this resort but you have to take a ferry to get there.

Having a few drinks before we went to the circus. Every night they had some type of entertainment that was offered and we went pretty much all of them. My favorite was the Michael Jackson show because of the music and dancing but Matt even had fun with me at all of them!!
After eating our lobster dinner...It was really yummy so we decided to finish off the night with just a few martinis.
Fire show on the beach. This was really cool and they served dinner on the beach and had the show after. I don't know what Matt had the camera set on but I really like the way this pictures turned out.
An iguana we saw when we swam with the dolphins. More pictures to come from that!
