For my 32nd birthday I asked Matt if we could go to Chicago for the weekend so we decided to take the train after work on Friday and go up for a fun filled weekend.
The train was fun but was a struggle with 2 kids, a stroller, and all our stuff but we made it work. Of course, Jackson thought it was great! We got into Chicago late and found our hotel. Our plan was to go to bed and get up early for breakfast and head to the Shedd.
Oakleigh had a rough go on Saturday. We were eating breakfast and she got sick so she really slept most of the day in the stroller. She was fine later in the day so we are not sure what happened.
Jackson loved the aquarium. We got there when they opened and started exploring. We spent a solid 2 hours in there and didn't see everything but we definitely had fun and will go back!

There are even some tanks that go all the way down so Oakleigh could get a good look at all the fish too.
This is the tank right when you walk in. We could have stayed here the whole time. Jackson couldn't get enough and there was even a giant turtle in the tank so we had to stay close.
Jackson had a great time on our way home. He liked being on the train during the day so he could look out the window. He now likes to ask if we can go to Chicago, see the fish, and ride the train!

My girl! She slept a lot on this trip.
