Matt's Grandmas Birthday

Today was Matt's grandmas 80th birthday and was also the first time his grandparents met Jackson. It was a fun day with lots of new faces for Jackson. He did great like always and it was fun to see him just look around at all the people!

Trying to get better about taking more family photos!

Aunt Alisha.... Who?

Brooke's boys are over me and just want to see baby Jackson! They both were being so cute. Clayton was talking to him and Sawyer just kept kissing him. I can't wait to watch these three grow up together!

10 Weeks Old

This week my little buddy is 10 weeks old. I can't believe it has ready been that long since I had him. This was his second week at daycare and he is doing great. He loves sitting in his bumbo, playing on his activity mat, and doing tummy time. These aren't new things for him but he is able to sit up longer, has better head/neck control, and he is playing with the toys on his mat. Before he would just lay on his mat and look up but not play with the toys.
At daycare he is eating between 12-14 ounces of milk a day and is growing like a weed. This weekend I got out all his 6 months clothes (thanks to Brooke and Amanda) and started putting a few 3 months sleepers away. It seems like yesterday he couldn't even fit in 3 months clothes.
Jackson has a stuffy nose for the first time so he is waking up earlier than usual but is still a happy baby. Saline spray and the nosefrida are our saviors!
Here are pictures from this week!
Boys relaxing on the couch!
Sleepy Saturday!
Jackson is wearing a 6-9 month onesie today. I know that is runs small (because I bought it for Sawyer and Brooke told me) but I can't believe it almost fits him. He is also wearing tattoo baby leggings. I am in love with them!!
Off to Jo Jo's, his babysitter. He loves her!
My little ninja. Early morning and off to the sitter!
Jo sent this to me. They were sitting outside and she told me he was watching all his friends!

2 Month Check

On Thursday we took Jackson to the doctor for his two month check. He got a few shots and took them like a champ. He cried a little bit but was smiling and giggling after. I told Matt I wish he was big enough to get ice cream because he deserved it! I tried to get a picture of him and his little band aids but he really didn't give me a good shot. He did get spiderman band aids, I was expecting snoopy!! He didn't have any type of reaction and was fine the next day.

Stats:
Weight 12.4 oz- 56% percentile
Length 23.75 inches- 42% percentile (Matt doesn't think he was all the way stretched out)
Head Circumference- 15.75 inches

At two months Jackson can sit up in the bumbo with a little help from mommy and daddy. He keeps gaining more head control everyday but loves to do tummy time and if you hold him he constantly is pushing back so he can look around. His favorite things to do right now are look up at ceiling fans and light fixtures, giggle and laugh at mommy and daddy, follow voices, and never miss a beat. If we are out and about or around a large group of people he will stay awake because he doesn't want to miss out. He just keeps getting bigger. I know he is only 8 weeks old but where did my baby go?

9 Weeks

So cute! I didn't take as many pictures of my little man as I have been but he is so stinking cute....
Off to the grocery store we go! I was afraid the little hat Taylor made would be too small to quick but I think it is going to last through the winter. He kept it on the whole time we were gone. We also had to change up his little blanket (from the teddy blanket above) because I wanted to wash it, so I gave him this monster blanket he is holding below. He snuggled it just like the other one. Thanks Kati!! I think we found another new friend.

My First Day Back to Work

On Monday, October 13th I went back to work. I called Jackson's babysitter on Sunday to make sure we were all set for Monday and I even stopped at her house to drop off all his goodies! We had to get up at 5:00 am (ended up being about 5:20 am) but we both got up early!! I sure did miss my coffee and watching the Today Show.  I really really enjoyed my maternity leave, being home with Jackson, and just being a Mom. I wish I could stay home with him everyday but going back to work wasn't bad. His babysitter didn't event give me time to get upset and Jackson was smiling when I dropped him off so I felt good about leaving.
When I got to work my desk was all decorated and I was welcomed back by all my co-workers! I had a stack of things to do on my desk by the end of the day so I just got back into the swing of things. Then later in the day I got a delivery!
Jackson sent me flowers! This was the first time of the day that I got a little upset that I wasn't with him but it just made me excited for the day to end so I could see him. I went to lunch with my Mom at Medici so all and all it was a great day. I made it through my first week successfully and think I will go back on Monday!

Rader's Family Farm and Taylor's Bridal Shower

Saturday morning I got Jackson all packed up and we headed to Rader's Farm. We met Aunt Brooke, Clayton, Sawyer, Aunt Taylor, and Uncle Isaac. It was a beautiful day and Clayton and Sawyer had so much fun. Brooke took a lot of pictures of the boys but this is the only picture I took of Jackson. It was so nice to have him in the stroller and not have to worry about him getting cold. He was a little rock star and didn't fuss the whole time we were there.
We headed to Brooke's after because Matt went out to help the boys farm for the day. Jackson was a great baby all day and at Brooke's I made him his own little area on her couch were he just laid and stared at the ceiling fan. He was a tired baby by the end of the night. He was getting constant love from both Clayton and Sawyer. I need to get better at taking pictures since I finally got a better camera.
This is from Taylor's bridal shower at the Marriott. Mom got him this little outfit and Taylor made him the onesie with the bow tie on it. I kept saying he was my little professor. I wish I would have got a picture with him but again fail! We had Taylor's shower at the Marriott so we (Brooke and myself) were busy being the hostess with the mostest!
Taylor had a great shower and she got a lot of wonderful gifts. It is only about a month until the big day!

Bethel Trunnell Wedding

Matt's cousin got married last weekend and Jackson was invited so we got him all dressed up for the occasion. Taylor made Jackson some bow tie onesies and he looked adorable in them. Also we were able to get a few family pictures. Matt bought me a new phone today and I can't believe how great the pictures look!                                           All ready to go!
How cute is this. I had no idea what was going on I was just holding the baby!

8 Weeks Old

It is Friday night and I am sitting on the couch watching Jackson kick Willie in the head and this side. This is something that Jackson does often and I think he does it because he likes the way Willie's hair feels on his feet, Willie will give him a lick on the foot if Jackson gives him the chance but I like their little relationship. They are going to be best buddies!

Since this is my last day not having to go to work Brooke gave me some advice. She told me to snuggle Jackson all day long. Well we did just this but I had to go to prompt care and target because I have an ear infection, and then we had to go pick up some essentials for Jackson to have at daycare.

 Jackson fast asleep on me!
He loves to snuggle his teddy bear blanket. It helps him hold his paci in and I think he just loves it!
 Captain Adorable!
Chilling in his swing. I take a million pictures when Matt is gone because then I constantly send them to him all day long. I am sure it doesn't make it easier being gone but I think he likes to see pictures of Jackson!
Grammie Cyndee came over last night and even took us to Corona's and was able to take this little gem of me and Jackson. We enjoyed the visit!
Aunt Taylor came over yesterday afternoon and always seems to be the baby whisperer (she also changes diapers). We were able to hang out and talk about her wedding. It is going to be here before we know it but I think she is all ready! I can't wait to see all the boys dressed up with their mamas!
All smiles! We sent this to Uncle Sean on Wednesday to say "Happy Hump Day." Who can't just eat up this little smile....
I don't look like my dad at all, especially when mommy puts me in a hoodie and a stocking hat. I wish the little zippers didn't rub on his face but he doesn't seem to mind. This hat Taylor made and I think will fit for most of the winter!
Jackson in his bumbo. We did this on Tuesday so he was about 7.5 weeks old. He did great. He was holding his head up like a champ. As long as he is really awake he does great. I think in a few weeks he will love to sit in this and look around.
Little video of Jackson in action!
Cheesing! Thanks Meg for this adorable outfit.

7 Weeks

It is official! This little peanut is sleeping through the night. He sleeps through most of the mornings and by noon he usually takes two little naps in the afternoon but other than that he is awake. He is really content laying in his boppy, playing on his activity mate, and he loves his swing again. The last two weeks he hasn't been a fan of the swing but he likes it again.

Jackson usually is a crazy man kicking his arms and legs around anywhere from 6-10:00 pm. We usually just let him tire himself out but I will take him to his bassinet around 9:30 if he is still awake and he will just lay there until he finally falls asleep. We either do this or let him fall asleep with us. So a typical night he goes to sleep between 9-10:00 pm and will wake up anywhere between 5-7:00 am. I am very lucky and I know this and I will be the one who has a rude awakening next week when I am dropping him off at the babysitters at 6:30am and heading to work.....
He was just being too cute, I had to take a lot of pictures of him this day. I swear he doesn't just lay in his boppy it just seems it is the easiest place to get good pictures.
He was stretching out yesterday 10/6 and we measured him and we think he is at least 23" long and then we weighed him and we think he is around 12 lbs. He goes to the doctor next week for his 2 month check up so we will get more accurate totals.
