We closed on our new house in Heyworth the first week of May. We are so excited to move into our new ranch but first we had to make some changes. First is paint and new fixtures and second we are going to replace all the carpet. This house is great and I love the layout but we had to change the colors to fit our personalities (I wasn't into the red or the rag wall paint).
Above is the living room.
This is the kitchen and the hallway leading back to the bedrooms and bathrooms.
This was one of the kid's rooms. The previous owners had each room different and with different color walls. This room had a wallpaper border as well so Carol had her hands full with painting. I really got out of a lot of work since I am pregnant and no one will let me do anything!
There are nice big closets in all of the rooms so I know I won't have any problems filling them! In the master we have a walk in closet and I couldn't be more excited about this! I wish I would have taken more pictures of the other rooms but at least I took a few!
This is our future office. The walls were multi-color with decals everywhere. This is going to be great for Matt to finally have a place to be able to work and have everything he needs close by. I took these tonight after we ripped out all of the carpet. I actually helped but the belly was really getting in the way.
Here is the master bedroom. The paint color is sage and it is beautiful. There is so much natural light in this house and the new brighter and lighter colors seemed to really open up the house.
Here is the fireplace! I am so excited on how it turned out. I don't think we could have picked a better color. This color is also was is in the hallway and the master bath.
This is part of our walk in closet with my new light that Brooke gave me from her house. She thought we would be able to use it in our old house and I never put it up so we were putting ceiling fans in all the bedrooms and I wanted this in my closet. It looks great and will help picking out my clothes when it is still dark out!
New colors in the living room! I love it!
The first weekend that we closed on the house I planted my garden and a few pots with flowers while they were painting inside. I was able to check on my garden tonight and it is doing great and about 5 times larger than what I had last year! I have a feeling me and Brooke will have a lot of canning to do. When we went to the house tonight we brought over some boxes and I snuck this into the car. This is a KU rock that Keili and Chad Kruger got us for a wedding gift that has been in our living room since we live around college kids I never wanted it to get stolen, so this is the first time it has ever been outside!! Rock Chalk!
