Oakleigh is 4 months old

Our little peanut is 4 months old. We got her ears pierced on Friday July 29th with Miss Lettie. Oakleigh did cry but not for long and hasn't touched her ears since. This little girl is always chewing on her hands and if not her hands it is anything she can reach. She is a mover and a shaker and rolled over for the first time on Tuesday, August 2nd while she was getting babysat. She is such a happy baby and Jackson loves to tickle her. 

 As you can tell she likes to have her feet under her and this is how she moves. She puts her feet down and bends her knees and pushes back. The picture on the bottom left she is in Jackson's crib while I was trying to change his diaper. They both are on the go all of the time so I do this so she can't scoot away. She is getting way to big too fast!!

Zoo Day

We went to Miller Park Zoo today with all of our cousins. There was a lot of helping by all the aunts and yelling to our kids to hurry up or slow down but everyone had a great time! 

Jackson talking to the monkeys and on the carousel. I thought for sure he would be scared of the ride but I was wrong, he loved it! Brooke had to help me get him off because he was sad. The bunny helped and sitting next to Clayton was even better!

SoySoy got the white bunny so everyone was happy! Thank god for 2 bunnies!

Weekend Trip to the Lake

I decided to update my blog this morning because I miss the lake and our boat. We took a quick trip to the lake and took Matt's parents. I think everyone had a really nice weekend. 

 We went to dinner at Tucker Shuckers. I absolutely love this place. Jackson has a waitress or two he is chasing so we had to go back! Pictures with daddy are the best.

 These two are pretty much best friends. Jackson sure does love his daddy. Jackson was helping Matt pick out something to eat. Above Jackson saying "cheese!" He always straightens up and has such a big smile.

 Happy Baby! As long as you keep her out of the sun and a fan on her she is content!

 Finally got our name put on our boat. I think it looks great! 

4th of July Weekend at the Lake

Our weekend started off on a great note and we bought a boat! We felt like a king and queen with a red carpet and everything. I hadn't seen it so initially I walked right by it and then Matt told me that was our boat. I think I said, " really, that is way too nice!" Needless to say I was shocked and surprised and couldn't wait to get on.

 It rained, rained, and rained some more while we were there, so I got out the selfie stick! 

 Taylor always tells me that videos don't work on here but this is a tour of our boat! 

 First boat ride and these two just slept on me the whole time. 

 Jackson was keeping an eye on sissy for me. He loves his little sister! 

 Selfie stick to the rescue. I wanted a family picture and I think we nailed it. I am keeping this on the boat so more fun times to come.

 Jackson loved the boat and has been talking about it since we got home! Oakleigh was very happy and content every time we were out on the water, but she is happy all the time...

Oakleigh is 3 months old!

This was taken on July 7th so she was a full week past 3 months but who is counting. She is filling out all of her 3 month outsift so we have moved on to 3-6 months and 6 months clothes. She is also wearing size 2 diapers. I think she weighs about 12 pounds. She is still sleeping through the night in her bassinet (she might stay in there forever) and the happiest baby around. She is loving her swing less and wants to be on the floor playing with her playmat and watching Jackson. Her eyes have gotten even more blue and she smiles and giggles all the time. She is such an easy go with the flow baby! 

 Sometimes you just have to dress up! She got this outfit from her babysitter Sydney's. The bow just made the whole outfit!

 I think Jackson really likes when Oakleigh is laying on the floor because he talks to her, shows her toys, and always sneaks in a kiss or two. She loves him so much....

 My little M.A.Jones baby.... look at those eyes. She is definitely taking after her daddy on those pretty blues.

Last Few Weeks...

The last few weeks have gone by so fast and I can definitely tell that being a working mom with two little kids can take a toll. I am really enjoying being back at work but now I have so much less time with my kiddos. I try to make time special for both kids so after daycare we are either outside in the pool, at the park, watering flowers, playing with bubbles and chalk, or the splash park and after Jackson goes to bed I get my time with my girl. It is a struggle some days to get everyone just fed and bathed by 8pm but we make it work! 

Over last weekend I was looking through my baby pictures and I think me and baby O do look a lot like each other. I am on the right and I think I am about 8 months old so I will be excited to keep coming back to pictures and see the similarities. Oakleigh is the happiest little baby. If you lay her on her play mat she can spin herself in an entire circle and just keep going! She smiles all the time and has really become more vocal with noises the last few weeks. Jackson tells Oakleigh that she is "cute" and it is so sweet because he sounds like Rudolph saying, "I'm cute!"

Jackson came home sick from daycare last week. I knew he was really sick when he just wanted to lay on the couch all day, poor buddy!

Jackson loves his trains and he broke the engine we had to Matt decided to get him a new one. He loves his new Thomas!

It is almost as big as him!

Night out at the winery for Rhendy's birthday! 

So big! She can sit in the bumbo for a long time in a row now. She is pretty happy as long as she can chew on her hands. She is also starting to get her front two lower teeth!

Jackson insists on wearing his boots everywhere. I have a feeling we are going to be at the lake for the 4th and he is going to want to wear his boots!
